The idea of building a strawberry tower sounds so simple and fun! But it’s not easy to build one because there are many things you need to consider. There are some basic steps that you have to follow before starting your project. So let’s get started with building a strawberry tower.
Step 1: Choose Your Material For Building A Strawberry Tower
There are various materials available for building a strawberry tower such as wood, concrete blocks, PVC pipe and other similar material. You will need to choose the best material for your project. The most popular choice is wood because it is strong enough to support the weight of the structure and durable enough to last long term. However, you may want to use different types of materials depending upon your taste.
Another consideration when choosing the right material is cost. Wood costs more than other materials but it lasts longer. If you’re looking for a cheap alternative then PVC pipe might be suitable since it’s cheaper than wood and lasts longer too. Another thing to keep in mind is that you’ll need to drill holes into the bottom of the wooden structure if you want it to stand up straight without wobbling around.
Step 2: Layout And Marking The Area
The Strawberry Tower Project layout is determined by the number of plants you want to grow and the space you have for planting. You can build the tower in your backyard, but it is best if you can find a spot that gets at least 6 hours of direct sunlight, otherwise the plants may not grow as well. The next step in building a strawberry tower is by attaching all of the PVC pipes together to form a single structure. You have to make sure that all of the joints or connections are tight so that it can hold the weight of soil and plants that will soon occupy it. In addition, the topmost section should be closed off to prevent birds from making it their home. You can also place some perches at the top to give birds a place to rest.
Step 4: The Soil And Plants
The next thing that you need for your tower is soil and plants. For soil, it is best to use a loamy soil mix because it drains water well. You can also add mulch to the soil to provide additional nutrients.
