So what’s the best way to grow Christmas palms? How do I choose which ones to buy? What kind of soil am I going to use? Do they need protection from freezing temperatures or high winds?
These are some of the questions that people have when choosing a Christmas palm tree. Here at the Garden Center, we want you to be able to answer these questions quickly and easily. So let us take care of everything else!
How To Grow A Christmas Palm Tree
There are several ways to grow a Christmas palm tree. You could purchase pre-cut Christmas palm trees from the store, but that would probably not give you the same results as growing them yourself.
Also, buying pre-cut trees means that you’re only getting half of what you’d get if you grew your own palm tree yourself. In order to get the most for your money, you’d need to learn how to grow a Christmas palm tree from seed.
In order to grow a Christmas palm tree from seed, you’d need to get some fresh seeds from actual Christmas palm trees. If you don’t have access to any, then you can also buy them online fairly easily.
All you’d need to do is plant the seeds in some nice fertile soil (or even grow them in cups if you want). then, just water them and wait for them to grow! It’s as easy as that. You could even make it into a science project for the kids if you wanted.
How To Take Care Of A Christmas Palm Tree
The way you take care of your Christmas palm tree is fairly important. If you don’t give it the right kind of sunlight, fresh water, or nutrients, then it might not grow as fast or as big as you want it to.
So how do you do that? How do you give it the right amount of sunlight, water, and nutrients?
Well, the easiest way is to let professionals do it for you at the Garden Center!
That’s right, for a small price, we can water and fertilize your tree for you, give it the right amount of light (depending on whether it’s indoors or outdoors), and protect it from harmful weather conditions. So really, all you’d have to do is buy the tree from us in the first place!

Taking Care Of Your Tree Once You Get It Home
Now that you’ve gotten your new tree from us at the Garden Center, you’ll need to learn how to best take care of it. First things first, you should water it.
However, you don’t want to over water it or else it will die. Once a day should be enough to keep your tree alive and happy. Also, make sure you let the soil dry out slightly between each watering. This will ensure that it doesn’t get root rot and die.
In addition to watering your tree, you’ll also need to fertilize it. We sell special kinds of fertilizer just for this purpose.
Once a month, pour some around the base of the tree. Follow the instructions on the package for how much you should use.
In addition, you’ll also need to give your Christmas palm tree enough sunlight each day. Make sure you don’t place it in a spot that it will get direct sunlight.
This can be very dangerous for the tree. Also, if you live some place extremely cold, then it might be best to bring your tree inside somewhere with minimal sunlight and a consistent temperature.
Lastly, replacing the tree’s soil every few years is also a good idea. This will help prevent the tree from getting sick or diseased.
You can buy bags of soil from us here at the Garden Center as well.
In addition to caring for your Christmas palm tree, it’s also important to know what to do when something goes wrong. Take a look at our Christmas palm tree troubleshooting guide for tips on how to handle specific problems you might have.
