What are Plantable Containers?
Plantable containers are made from natural materials such as wood, plastic or metal. They have been used for centuries in gardening and other outdoor activities. These containers come in different sizes and shapes, depending on the size of your garden. You can choose between glass, stainless steel or even bamboo. All these types of containers are not only suitable for growing plants but they can also be used as food storage containers. There are many advantages of using plantable containers over traditional garden beds.
1) Cost Savings: You don’t need to spend money on buying expensive garden furniture like planters, trellises and so forth.
All you need to do is buy a container that fits into your space and then plant your seeds inside it!
2) Environmentally Friendly: You can reduce your carbon footprint by planting plants in biodegradable containers instead of using traditional garden equipment.
3) Healthier Food Storage: By using biodegradable containers, you can store fresh fruits and vegetables without worrying about them spoiling due to temperature changes or light exposure.
They can be placed in the refrigerator, freezer, or pantry and still maintain their quality for a long period of time.
4) Beautiful Decor: Not only are plantable containers functional, they can also enhance your space with their natural beauty.
You can use different types of plants in the same container to create a visually appealing piece of yard art.
How to Make Your OWN Plantable Containers
Learning how to make your own plantable containers is easier than you might think. You can buy empty seed packets from a variety of garden stores or purchase bulk seeds from the supermarket.
Then, all you have to do is pick your favorite plant and put it in the container. There are several methods to making plantable containers.
1) Use Dried Beans: Pick out dried beans that match your color scheme.
Then, soak them in water for about 8 hours and let them dry out. While they are drying, prepare your potting mix by adding soil, perlite and vermiculite in a 3:2:1 ratio.
Fill each container three-quarters full with potting mix before pressing two or three beans into the center of the container. Add more potting mix to cover the beans and finish filling up the container. Water your containers and let the potting mix settle for about a week. After that, your container is ready to use!
2) Use Herbs: It is very easy to grow your own herbs indoors during the winter months.
Most herbs do best in a planter that has good drainage and is placed in a window with lots of sunlight. While certain herbs can grow outdoors during the summer, they should be brought in before the temperature drops or when there is a chance of frost.
Some herbs that work well for plantable containers include basil, mint, rosemary, sage and thyme.
Making your own plantable containers is easy and fun. They come in different shapes and sizes so you can choose whatever planter fits your needs the best.
When choosing your container, keep in mind how large the plant will eventually get when it grows. Remember to think about where you are going to place your container and how much sunlight it will receive. You can make the process even easier for yourself by using herbs or beans that match your color scheme. Making your own container will save you money and give you the satisfaction of knowing that you did it yourself!

Once they are in the ground, they will grow just like any other plant. You can find seed paper that has only one type of seed on it or you can find seed paper that has multiple seeds on it. The one thing that you should look for is whether or not the seeds that are on the paper are native to your area. This is very important because if the seeds aren’t native to your area, they most likely won’t be able to grow properly.
One of the most unique types of plantable paper is what is known as plantable packaging. You’ve probably heard about companies that will make your logo into a seed packet.

The History Of Paper
The history of paper speaks volumes about how humans have evolved and shaped our world to what it is today. Paper wasn’t always around, in fact for thousands and thousands of years, from the dawn of man, papers wasn’t used.
It wasn’t until around 100 A.D that paper began to be used on a daily basis for written language.
Creating The First Tree Bark Sheets
The first paper was actually invented by the chinese. The first ever paper was created by taking cloth, rags, and tree bark and pounding them with a mortar and pestle to create a pulp like substance.
This substance was placed on a flat surface and poured over with water. The water was then drained and the pulp was placed over a flat, hard surface and pounded until it became paper. This process was repeated until the material became thin enough to read through.
The Chinese kept this paper making process a secret for many years. It wasn’t until the year 589 that the process was shared with the world.
The Arabs and The Making of Paper
The first recorded person to make paper in modern times was a man named Ts’ai Lun. He lived in China, the place which had kept the secret of paper for many years.
Eventually a man by the name of Lui Pi was tasked by the Emperor to find new secrets for the Empire to thrive on. It was he who traveled to Korea and discovered the art of paper making. He taught the art to a young arab prisoner by the name of Jehane Musa. Musa would later become known as the father of Arab paper makers.
While the Emperor had received word of a new method to create documents, he dismissed it as nonsense. It wasn’t until years later when he finally heard about this new invention that he sent many men to investigate this so called paper.
