Mulching in Spring
When should you mow?
Spring is the perfect time to mow your grass because it’s hot enough for you to wear shorts and T-shirt. When you have a big yard, you might want to wait until summer so that your grass doesn’t burn too much during the heat wave. But if your lawn isn’t burning up like yours is, then don’t worry about it!
What kind of grass should I mow?
The type of grass you choose will depend on how many plants are growing in your area. If there aren’t any tall trees nearby, then you could just go ahead and cut down all the small trees that are blocking out sunlight. However, if you live in a city where there are lots of tall buildings around, then it would probably be better to keep your lawn looking nice by cutting down some large trees instead.
If you’re in a rural area, then you’ll need to decide which type of grass to cut down first. For example, if you live in a place without many trees nearby, then it wouldn’t make sense to cut down all the small trees since they won’t provide shade for your house anyway. So if you want your lawn look pretty and not get burned by the sun, then it would be better to leave most of the smaller trees standing.
What should I water my grass with?
You can easily water your grass with a simple garden hose. By doing this, you won’t have to drive into town to buy some bottled water that’s both expensive and bad for the environment. In other words, you’re helping the environment by not buying bottled water! You could also use a sprinkler if you want, but that would be a waste of water since you could just as easily water your lawn with a hose.
