How To Grow Garlic From Bulbils?

If you want to grow garlic from bulbils, then you need to make sure that you take care of them properly.
First thing you need to do is check if the bulbs are healthy. You can see if they’re not too dry or too wet by squeezing them. A few drops of water should come out easily, but if there’s no liquid at all then it means that the bulbs aren’t fresh yet and needs more attention than just watering.
How To Get Garlic Plant Bulbils?
You can get garlic bulbils at the nursery or garden center. Buy a few healthy bulbs that have large cloves and no spots or mold on them. If you can’t find any at the store, then you can always order them at online nurseries.
Sterilize your pots or planting containers first by submerging them in water and bringing it to a boil. Let the water cool down and then pour out the water. Add fresh soil and poke holes in the soil where you will be placing the garlic bulbs.

Growing Garlic From Seed
You can also start growing garlic from seed, but it takes a lot longer to grow than starting it from bulbils.
You will need to soak the seeds in water overnight before planting. Plant 3 or 4 seeds per container and keep the soil moist, but not waterlogged. Once the seedlings are big enough to handle, you will need to thin them out so that you only leave 1 seed per container.
It will take about 2 years for the garlic seedlings to grow big enough that you can start harvesting.
