Beginners Windowsill Garden: What Can I Grow?

There are many types of plants which can be grown on windowsills. There are different kinds of vegetables such as lettuce, spinach, kale, cabbage, cauliflower, broccoli and so on. You can also grow herbs like basil or parsley. If you want to start your own vegetable garden then it’s very easy to do with the right tools and materials. All you need is some soil, a container, a few seeds and water.

The first step is to choose the type of plant which you want to grow. You can grow any kind of plants including flowers, fruits and vegetables. Some plants require more care than others but they all have their advantages and disadvantages. For example, tomatoes are very hardy plants and will survive cold temperatures. However, they’re not good at absorbing sunlight and you’ll need to provide them with light during the day time.

They also don’t produce much fruit when grown properly.

Plants which thrive well in a warm climate include potatoes, carrots, onions and garlic. These plants will grow quickly if given enough space but they won’t produce much food unless provided with plenty of water. If you don’t have much space then it’s best to avoid growing these plants.

The most common types of plants include lettuce, spinach, kale, cabbage, cauliflower and broccoli. These are easy to grow and are quick to mature. You can harvest them in just a few months and they’re easy to care for. All you need is some sunlight and water. You can also get a seed packet which contains several types of different seeds.

Grow your own herbs inside during winter or anytime they’re not growing outdoors. They’re easy to maintain and have a great taste. A well-known herb that grows well indoors is the Basil plant. You can grow these plants anywhere as long as they receive enough light and water. Some varieties of Basil prefer more sunlight than others.

It’s best to do your own research before planting them.

Grow a mixture of sunflowers and crop plants under them. The sunflowers can provide a great deal of shade for the other plants in direct sunlight. Sunflowers grow very quickly and can produce hundreds of seeds. They also require a lot of water to grow.

Grow plants on the windowsill during winter or whenever they’re not in season. With a little bit of water and sunlight some plants can grow all year round even under artificial light. The best plants to grow indoors under these conditions are root vegetables such as Carrots, Potatoes and Onions.

All you need to do is follow the instructions on the back of the seed packet and place a few seeds into each pot. Keep them watered and give them some sunlight every day. Make sure they don’t dry out or they will die. If this happens then you’ll need to start again.
